Singer
Xiaoqing Zhang

Xiaoqing Zhang is a proud member of AEA and the founder of Broadway China LLC and ResoNOVA Theatre Collective, a nonprofit branch of Artists for Mental Health. She was recognized by the city and county as a “Sino-American Musical Theatre Ambassador” and is a winner of the highest awards in the China Star competition. Xiaoqing has served as a judge for the 2018 Sinovision C.S.O.C Voice Competition and the 2017 Columbia University Voice Competition. She holds an MFA (full scholarship) from SCAD and a BA in Acting from The Central Academy of Drama.
Xiaoqing has been a leading lady in many musicals, including the Off-Broadway show Songs About Trains, The Emperor’s Nightingale, the Off-Broadway instrumental musical For What It’s Worth, the National Asian Artists Projects musical Rapunzel, and NAAP Prospect Theatre Company’s Into The Woods concert. She also performed in Pan Asian Repertory Theatre’s Lost in Shanghai, the musical An Old Day in Chinatown, Jonathan Lee’s musical Road to Heaven(New York press release), the Off-Broadway musical Eastbound concert and choreography lab.
Her Mandarin-language premieres include Avenue Q, Mama Loves Me Again, and Spiral Show. Xiaoqing has sung the interlude and title songs for well-known Chinese national TV shows such as There Is No War in Peking and Sharp Keen. She has also appeared in the American TBS comedy show The Detour and completed other voice-over work.
As an international actress, Xiaoqing has collaborated with renowned directors, music directors, and choreographers from the West End, Broadway, and China. Her awards include first place in the national China Star competition, second place in the World Karaoke Championship (China region), and the Creative Award in the BTV singing and dancing competition.
Violinist
Jayden Yao

A junior at Parkland High School in Allentown, PA, Jayden Yao is a passionate violinist with extensive experience performing both as a soloist and in orchestras at the local, regional, and state levels.
He has had the honor of serving as Associate Concertmaster at the 2025 PMEA Regionals Festival, Principal Second at the 2025 PMEA Districts Festival, and Concertmaster of the Parkland High School Orchestra.

He is also a member of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) and a former member of the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra (PYAO). Through these groups, he has had the incredible opportunity to perform at prestigious venues like Marian Anderson Hall and Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center.
In addition to orchestral work, Jayden regularly performs at weddings and professional events as part of a string quartet. He has received several awards, including 3rd place in the OPUS Pennsylvania Competition, 3rd place twice in the American Music Talent Competition, and is proud to be a three-time recipient of the Schadt String Scholarship. Outside of music, he enjoys playing tennis and working on science and engineering projects.
Cellist
Genevieve Vasquez

Genevieve Vasquez is a senior at Parkland High School in Allentown, PA. She has been a prominent leader in her school’s orchestral ensembles, serving as vice president for the past three years. She has also had the privilege of being the principal cellist at the PMEA District 10 and Northeast Regional Festivals in 2024 and 2025, further competing at the state level.
Genevieve’s musical interests have led her to perform as a guest feature for her school’s choir and fall play production, as well as the Bel Canto Youth Chorus in Bethlehem. She has performed at numerous venues as a member of a string quartet and hopes to continue playing in university. Outside of cello, Genevieve enjoys expressing herself creatively through art and creative writing.

Music in Momentum is a student-led initiative. The mission is simple: to uplift and support children by sharing the joy and inspiration of live music. Music can do more than entertain. It can heal, inspire, and empower. That’s why bringing live violin performances to public spaces and events, using the proceeds to support organizations that help children thrive through education, health, creativity, and emotional support.
