Meet our founder & Our Vision
Founded in 2022 by Dr. Chen—former piano faculty member at UMKC and Temple University—our studio was born out of a passion for bringing high-quality, personalized piano instruction to our local community.
Located near the Allentown Costco, our studio brings together a dedicated team of professional instructors. Guided by Dr. Chen’s extensive teaching experience, we ensure that every student receives a world-class musical upbringing in a cozy, welcoming environment. We welcome students of all levels, ages 4.5 and up, and offer both in-person and high-quality virtual lessons.
Our Core Goal & Philosophy
We believe that music education is an irreplaceable component of a holistic and meaningful education. Anyone can learn to play the piano! To us, music is a safe place that provides peace, calms the soul, and increases an overall feeling of happiness.
Our primary goals are to:

Performance Opportunities
We believe that performance builds confidence. All students at our studio will be given level-appropriate opportunities to share their music. Each year, our students participate in:

Two Annual Recitals: A highly anticipated winter and summer recital.

Special Themed Projects: Fun and creative studio-wide musical events such as our popular Halloween project.

Evaluations & Competitions: Structured pathways, including ABRSM exams and local festivals, tailored to each student's goals when they are ready.

As the founder of Dr. Chen Piano Studio, I deeply value the trust families place in us for their children's musical education. To me, teaching is a shared mentorship, and I am honored to guide each student as they discover or continue their own unique path in music.

My own life with the piano began at an early age, shaping not only my passion for the instrument but also my deep commitment to education. Having served as a music faculty member at UMKC and Temple University, my goal has always been to bridge advanced artistry with a nurturing, accessible community environment. We have created a space here where students feel supported, inspired, and motivated to grow. Whether a beginner is taking their very first steps or an advanced pianist is refining complex repertoire, our mission remains the same: to help them discover and express their individual musical voice.
